It has been a while since I wrote a beauty blog post so I'm really excited to be writing one today! Testing beauty products is so much fun to me so a goal of mine is to share more beauty posts. As much as I enjoy testing new things, I tend to be a creature of habit when it comes to my everyday makeup. When you're not a morning person, doing your makeup before work can be a challenge! I could always forgo makeup to sleep more but the truth is I just like makeup too much to give it up! I do, however, try to switch the products out regularly otherwise I'd never get to test the new products. Here's what's in my current rotation and what I've been using everyday as of late. Face Sunscreen: Although this isn't makeup, wearing sunscreen daily is something I learned from my mom at a young age. I also LOVE this sunscreen so much. The sweet founder of Alchimie Forever, Ada, is also someone I look up to and am happy to support. This sunscreen smells delicious and is really light on the skin. I love that it's not greasy at all. For those of you that hate sunscreen, this is the sunscreen that will make you a believer I swear. Not only does it protect your skin from UV rays, it is good for … [Read more...]
My Current Skincare Routine for Acne-Prone Sensitive Skin
When it comes to skincare, I try a lot of products so that I can perfect my routine. Since I live in a state that experiences four distinct seasons, the weather actually drives my skincare routine and it changes frequently. Regardless of the season my focus is using products that combat blemishes, treat dark spots, and help reduce pore size. Some of the items in my current skincare routine are new and some are old favorites! Since I love to share awesome products with you guys, I'm spilling all the details about each product. As always, these are my honest opinions and I only share products that I have thoroughly tested. Step 1: Remove makeup with Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Melting Cleanser I've tried every type of makeup remover out there and this is truly my favorite. The Farmacy cleanser is slightly reminiscent of your mom's cold cream, but it's far easier to use. The consistency is extremely light and smooth so it glides over delicate areas like your eyelids easily. The product melts instantly and removes even my waterproof mascara. It also has the yummiest scent! Reminds me faintly of limes. My favorite part? This product rinses off easily with just water! There's no … [Read more...]
Testing Liquid Lipsticks at 3 Price Points ($4, $24, $56)
Its been a while since I last wrote a beauty post that wasn't about skincare! That doesn't mean I haven't been busy testing out makeup though, believe me. I tend to prefer writing lifestyle content as you can tell but I think it'll be fun to share more beauty content. Let me know what kinds of beauty posts you would like! I'm thinking less tutorials but more reviews or comparisons between high end and low end dupes. I love a good drugstore find so you can definitely expect me to share affordable finds! This post is going to be a comparison between several liquid lipsticks that I have tried recently. I'll go through the pros and cons the liquid lipsticks then sum up my thoughts on what you should spend your money on. Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick $4 here or get it on Amazon here | Shade: Nudist Peach Pros: This is widely available at drugstores and you can even get it on Amazon. I like the doe foot applicator because it has a dip in the center which holds product. I feel like the dip allows for the product to be smoothed over your lips without any excess. Obviously, the best pro here is the price. So cheap you can buy all the colors you want! Cons: Not … [Read more...]
