It’s officially spring!! In the first week of the season, I’ve had daily allergy attacks and we’ve had all sorts of weather. Really, we’ve had everything from sunshine to snow. That’s Seattle for ya. I also had a packed week full of events at various local spots around the city.
My favorite event to attend at every start of a new season is the Flavor Tasting the Molly Moon’s Ice Cream team hosts at MM Studios. I get to mingle with the team who makes the magic happen, other ice cream fanatics, and best of all taste test the new seasonal flavors. There’s also a ton of photo taking happening because MM Studios is theĀ cutest spot around town. (You can rent out MM Studios for a personal event, check it out here.) If you’re interested in attending the next event, I recommend joining their mailing list. Scroll down to the bottom right of the homepage.
Here are some photos from the Spring 2018 Flavor Tasting and a list of all the delicious seasonal flavors you can look forward to trying this season! You’ll notice there are a few cake flavors because Molly Moon’s is celebrating a huge milestone soon. (10 years!!!) I’m particularly excited about birthday cake because that’s one of my favorite flavors ever and I’m actually celebrating my own birthday in a few weeks!
Spring Seasonals:
-Black Sesame
-Cali Lime Pie
-Hibiscus Tea Sorbet
-Vegan Matcha Peach Swirl
-Birthday Cake
-Original RGB Sorbet
-Sasquatch
-Vegan Coconut Chunk
-German Chocolate Cake
-Strawberry Rhubarb Sorbet
-Vegan Thai Tea
-Caramel Cone Crunch
There’s something for everyone in this list of seasonals! I always appreciate it when there are dairy-free and vegan options at ice cream places. Plus there is a range of fresh fruity flavors to rich, creamy flavors for all tastes. Two that are especially worth calling out – Black Sesame is yummy and perfect for anyone who is a peanut butter lover like myself. This really reminds me of peanut butter but don’t worry, there are none in this for those of you with allergies. The Matcha Peach Swirl is another interesting flavor that I had fun trying. It’s green like the name suggests and it’s actually made in partnership with Matchaful, another company that gives 1% back to the community – just like Molly Moon’s.
I always get asked about these shoes – they are my favorite! Only $40 and come in a few colors.
Isn’t the space beautiful? It’s always so fun to see how it’s been decorated for the season! My blogger friends and I had to snap a bunch of photos as usual :) We also had a lot of fun tasting the various flavors. I’m really anxious to find out which flavor is going to become the newest addition to the “always” flavors. (That means one of the existing flavors is getting knocked off!!)
What flavor are you most excited to try? Let me know and hope to see you at the next event!
