Today’s post is extra special because it’s my first ever blog post dedicated to cupcakes! After over three years of blogging under a cupcake-related handle, it’s about time. I am also thrilled to partner with a local Seattle-based, female owned business such as Trophy Cupcakes. I’ve been a fan of Trophy since I moved to Seattle years ago. From the fun flavors to the cute packaging and store decor, I love this local spot.
Recently a Trophy Cupcakes pop-up shop opened on the third floor of Nordstrom Southcenter in Tukwila, WA. Luckily it’s not just around for the holidays but will be open indefinitely as of now. I love that you can grab a small treat while shopping or even order a dozen to pick up here. While I’m not in South Seattle often, I know there are tons of folks that are excited for more local favorites to be located in this area.

I am so excited to see this partnership because Nordstrom also holds a special place in my heart. For those of you that don’t know, my first ever job outside of school was working retail at Nordstrom in downtown Portland. I also interned at Nordstrom’s HQ office in Seattle during college. While I ended up working in the tech industry post-graduation I still keep in touch with the people I met at Nordstrom. It will always be a favorite retailer for shopping too, of course.
What blows me away by these sweet treats is the attention to detail every time. You already know that everything is going to taste great, but the presentation is always on point! If you’re ever looking for a small gift to give or a party hit, get a box of macarons or cupcakes. Everyone is guaranteed to love them.
Usually when I receive gifts for my blog I don’t get the chance to share with friends. Since I got a dozen cupcakes, it was the perfect treat to share with my friends and everyone loved them! I even brought home three for my mom, dad, and brother right before Christmas. Sure, I could have brought everyone any type of cupcake and I’m sure they would appreciate it but these are different. Supporting local makers is super important to me!
By the way, my favorite macaron hands down is the Cinnamon Toast flavor. It tastes just like the cereal and is so good, I could eat a whole box. I know many of my fellow blogger friends love this flavor too! If you try one flavor, it has to be this one – seriously.
Be sure to check out the pop-up next time you’re at Nordstrom Southcenter! You can find other Seattle businesses I’ve highlighted and other local finds by clicking the Seattle category in the sidebar to the right. Cheers!
